Netanyahu: We are working to destroy the Iranian axis and achieve war goals during the upcoming Hebrew year

SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today, Monday, that his government is seeking to "destroy the Iranian axis" and achieve the war goals during the upcoming Hebrew year, reiterating these goals: eliminating Hamas, releasing prisoners, and ensuring that Gaza does not pose a "threat to Israel."

Netanyahu's statements came, according to a statement from his office, during a meeting he held today with Minister of Security Israel Katz, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, and members of the General Staff Forum at the Ministry of Defense (Kirya) in Tel Aviv, on the eve of the Hebrew New Year.

The Israeli Prime Minister said: "We are in a battle where we are defeating our enemies, and we must destroy the Iranian axis, and we can do this. This is what awaits us in the coming year, which could be a historic year for Israel's security."

He added, "I want to reiterate that we are determined to achieve all the goals of our war; not only in Gaza, not only in eliminating Hamas and freeing the hostages and ensuring that Gaza does not pose a threat to Israel anymore."

He continued, "But also on other fronts and opening opportunities for security, victory, and even peace,"
adding, "This, in my opinion, requires two essential qualities: in moments of testing - unity, and at all times - decisiveness."

The statement noted that the meeting addressed "the multiple challenges on various fronts" and that Netanyahu praised the "great efforts, successes, and tremendous sacrifices shown by the soldiers and officers."
