Ramallah and Al-Bireh Forces Call for Broad Participation in Events Coinciding with the General Assembly

SadaNews - The national and Islamic forces in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate emphasized the importance of consolidating unity and prioritizing comprehensive internal dialogue in the face of challenges and dangers, highlighting the significance of national cohesion and integration of efforts at all levels as the intensity of the bloody aggression escalates, alongside the open war of extermination against the Palestinians amid plans for Judaization and annexation under the pretext of enforcing "sovereignty."

The forces stressed that there is no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories except that of the Palestinian people, who have rightful ownership of the land for thousands of years. They will not succumb or kneel before the ongoing bloodbath, and all attempts to erase the Palestinian presence will fail upon the steadfastness and resilience of the Palestinian people, their legitimate defense, and their continued national struggle until they fully achieve their complete and unabridged goals.

The national and Islamic forces in the governorate called on the masses of Ramallah and Al-Bireh for extensive participation in the event organized next Tuesday, with the participation of unions, prisoner institutions, and popular activities coinciding with the convening of the United Nations General Assembly on September 23, during which many countries are expected to announce their recognition of the State of Palestine. This is an important development with significant political and legal implications, requiring clear steps from all countries that recognize the State of Palestine within the borders of 1967 and its capital, Jerusalem, to take accompanying measures and steps toward ending the occupation of the state’s lands in all its forms, achieving complete independence, exercising the right to self-determination, and the return of refugees in accordance with UN Resolution 194. This event reaffirms the Palestinian people's commitment to their legitimate national rights, with many activities organized across all governorates and in the diaspora in a unified message. The gathering is set to take place at 12:00 noon at the Manara Square in Ramallah under the Palestinian flag, with the participation of all sectors, unions, institutions, and popular activities.

The forces called for international efforts following the recognition decisions to adopt a different approach on the international stage to provide international protection, activate the legal pathway related to holding the occupying state accountable, and suspend its membership in international institutions amid the ongoing cycle of extermination and daily killings, and the escalation of racial violence committed by settler militias in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem, and the attacks on villages and towns. They also condemn the continuation of collective punishment policies, including closing the iron gates, which turn the West Bank into fragmented cantons, along with the mistreatment of female prisoners and prisoners in occupation jails. There is a need for a comprehensive national plan, both officially and popularly, at all levels to bolster resilience and survival in the face of policies of displacement and expulsion against our people and to confront these aggressive policies by all available means. The occupying state views the American voting and the use of the "veto" in the Security Council as another green light to continue its war of extermination, expressing full complicity in the aggression and negation of its inalienable rights. This marks the sixth veto since the onset of aggression against our people, continuing for the twenty-third consecutive month.
