Hebrew Channel Claims: Jordanian Apology Message After the Allenby Attack
SadaNews Translation - The Hebrew channel Reshet Kan revealed last night that a Jordanian message was directed to Israel following the attack that occurred at the Allenby Bridge a few days ago, which resulted in the death of two Israeli soldiers.
According to the Hebrew channel, as translated by SadaNews, the message was conveyed by military officials in Jordan to their counterparts in Israel, expressing their regret over the attack.
The message emphasized that the attack was an "individual incident", confirming that the perpetrator had not previously served in the Jordanian army, nor was he a driver for transporting aid, and that there was a mistake in their identification and security classification procedures.
It pointed out that the Hashemite Kingdom wishes to resume the transfer of aid to Gaza, but Israel conditions this on conducting an investigation and changing inspection procedures.
Jordanian aid has been halted, and pedestrian movement across the bridge is expected to resume on Sunday.
In a related context, the channel reported that two days after the attack, the Israeli army arrested four suspects last night after they infiltrated from the Jordanian border, who turned out to be migrant workers.
