The Israeli Army Announces Attacking Hezbollah Weapon Warehouses in Southern Lebanon Towns
SadaNews - The Israeli army announced on Thursday evening that it has begun "a wave of attacks" against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, shortly after issuing evacuation orders for several buildings, amidst continued violations of the ceasefire agreement. It later announced attacks on weapon warehouses belonging to the "Radwan" force affiliated with the party.
The Israeli army stated in a statement that it will "target military infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon in the near future." The Israeli army claimed that its airstrikes come "in response to its banned attempts to rebuild its activities in the area."
It also issued "an urgent warning to the residents of buildings and neighboring buildings in the villages of Maysalun, Kfar Tubnita, and Dbayeh."
This comes as two people were martyred due to an Israeli drone strike that targeted the Al-Assirah neighborhood in the city of Baalbek, eastern Lebanon, as part of the escalating Israeli aggressive attacks.
Israel has been carrying out repeated attacks in Lebanon despite the ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024, following more than a year of confrontations that included a two-month open war characterized by intense Israeli escalation against Lebanon.
Under U.S. pressure and fearing further escalation of Israeli strikes, the Lebanese government ordered the army last month to devise a plan for disarming Hezbollah. The Lebanese army is required to complete the disarmament operation within three months in the south of the country, near the border with Israel.
