Israeli Official: Netanyahu-Trump Relationship is Excellent and Reports of Tension are Just Media Lies
SadaNews - Amid escalating events in the Middle East, informed sources told The Wall Street Journal that U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his deep dissatisfaction with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of favoring military solutions over diplomatic efforts, especially regarding the ceasefire with Hamas.
According to officials who relayed Trump’s remarks to his aides: "Netanyahu is messing with me," referring to what they described as his increasing frustration following the Israeli attack on the Hamas negotiating delegation in Qatar.
On the other hand, a senior Israeli official denied any tension between the two leaders, affirming that "the relationship between Netanyahu and Trump is excellent, and any reports to the contrary are false news." He added that "the interests and core values between the United States and Israel are closely aligned."
A former spokesman for Netanyahu also described media reports about the tension as "strategically planned reasons" attempting to undermine the strong alliance between the two sides.
