Britain and France Condemn Israeli Attack on Gaza City
SadaNews - Britain and France condemned the attack and aggression of the Israeli occupation on Gaza City.
British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper stated that the Israeli attack on Gaza City is brutal and horrific and increases the bloodshed.
Cooper added in an official statement last night: "The new offensive operation by the Israeli army in Gaza is barbaric and dreadful, and it will lead to more bloodshed, the killing of more innocent civilians, and putting the lives of hostages at risk."
She pointed out that the current situation requires urgent action to stop the bloodshed, protect civilians, ensure unrestricted access for humanitarian aid, release all hostages, and work towards a path to lasting and sustainable peace.
She emphasized that the international community must take responsibility for pressuring the Israeli occupation to cease attacks, warning that the continuation of military escalation exacerbates the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and threatens the stability of the entire region, affirming that London will continue to collaborate with its international partners to ensure respect for international humanitarian law.
For its part, the French Foreign Ministry confirmed that the humanitarian and health situation in the Gaza Strip is extremely dangerous, and the residents are suffering from famine and lack of access to basic necessities and emergency medical care.
The ministry called on the occupying authorities to immediately lift all restrictions on humanitarian aid entering Gaza and to resume negotiations as soon as possible with the aim of reaching a ceasefire.
