Bloody Night in Gaza: Israeli Airstrikes Kill Families and Destroy Residential Towers

SadaNews - Israeli occupation aircraft carried out violent airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, destroying more homes and resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded early Wednesday, coinciding with the expansion of the ground offensive on the city of Gaza. They also targeted displaced individuals in the Al-Mawasi area, which it claims is a "safe area" in the southern Gaza Strip.

Two Palestinians were martyred and others were wounded in an Israeli bombardment of a residential apartment in the "Al-Dahfer 5" tower in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood in southern Gaza City.

Also, a mother and her child were martyred due to another bombardment that targeted a residential apartment in the "Habib" building in the Al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City.

The airstrikes were accompanied by artillery shelling in several areas of Gaza City, as well as the detonation of booby-trapped armored vehicles in buildings located in the northern neighborhoods, as part of the occupation army's policy of destroying residential buildings and facilities to displace residents.

In central Gaza Strip, occupation aircraft targeted a residential tower east of Al-Nusseirat camp.

Sources at Al-Awda Hospital reported the martyrdom of a Palestinian, his wife, and their daughter in an Israeli bombardment of a home in Al-Nusseirat camp.

In the southern part of the besieged Palestinian territory, local media reported the martyrdom and injury of several Palestinians due to the targeting of Israeli helicopters against displaced individuals in the Al-Sahaba farm area in the Al-Mawasi region of Khan Younis.

These airstrikes come after sources in Gaza hospitals reported the martyrdom of 106 Palestinians due to the fire of occupation forces on Tuesday, including 91 in Gaza City.

The Chief of Staff of the Israeli occupation army, Eyal Zamir, announced yesterday the "deepening of the military operation towards the heart of Gaza City," after weeks of launching the operation named "Gideon’s Chariots 2," which aims to invade and occupy Gaza City, where entire residential squares have been destroyed, and what remains of towers and multi-story buildings has been bombed to displace the residents.

Since October 2023, Israel - with American support - has been carrying out a genocidal war against the residents of the Gaza Strip, including killings, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls to stop the war and orders from the International Court of Justice in this regard.

This genocide has resulted in about 65,000 martyrs and 165,000 injured, with 428 Palestinians, including 146 children, dying due to starvation, according to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
