Prisoners' Club: Occupation Forces Launch Arrest and Field Investigation Campaign Targeting At Least 35 Citizens
SadaNews - Occupation forces continue to escalate their operations of arrest and field investigation in an unprecedented manner, as they launched, since last evening until this morning, a campaign of arrests and field investigations that targeted at least (35) citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
The Prisoners' Club stated in a statement today, Sunday, that the arrest and field investigation operations were concentrated in Hebron Governorate, which affected about 20 citizens, including 5 women, and university students who were interrogated at the premises of the Polytechnic and Hebron universities, and were later released. The remaining arrests were distributed across the governorates of Nablus, Bethlehem, Jenin, Tubas, Qalqilya, and Ramallah.
Additionally, the occupation forces continued extensive arrest operations over the past two days specifically in Tulkarem Governorate, where the number of arrests reached nearly 1000 citizens, who were later released. In Qalqilya Governorate, the occupation intensified its arrest campaigns specifically in the town of Izun, targeting dozens of citizens, most of whom were released later.
It should be noted that the arrest campaigns and the accompanying field investigations, along with the assaults on our people, in an unprecedented manner, are retaliatory acts that fall under the crime of (collective punishment), which have formed and continue to be among the prominent and systematic policies used by the occupation to undermine any rising resistance against it.
It is worth mentioning that the number of arrests since the beginning of the ongoing genocide war in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, has exceeded (19) thousand cases, and this figure does not include the arrests in Gaza, which are estimated in the thousands, noting that this total includes those who have been arrested as well as those who have been released later.
