Lapid: Rumors of an Egyptian Proposal to Form an Arab Force Are a "Severe Blow"
SadaNews - Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid stated that rumors regarding an Egyptian proposal to establish a joint Arab force to confront Israeli attacks represent a "severe blow" to peace agreements.
Lapid tweeted on X, stating, "The report concerning Egypt's proposal to create a joint Arab force to confront Israeli attacks is a severe blow to the peace agreements, which came immediately after the severe blow to the Abraham Accords, which followed the overwhelming vote by the majority of countries allied with Israel in favor of establishing a Palestinian state."
Lapid added: "This government has undermined our international standing. A lethal mix of irresponsibility, amateurs, and arrogance is tearing us apart in the world. They must be replaced before it is too late."
Previously, Lapid accused the current government of having lost the support of Israel's key international allies, following the deadliest attack in the history of the Hebrew state, amid the continued detention of hostages in the Gaza Strip. He considered this situation to be a "colossal failure" on both security and diplomatic fronts.
