Hebrew Reports Reveal New Details About the 'Assassination Attempt in Qatar'

SadaNews - Israeli media reports discuss what they describe as "new data" regarding "the operation that targeted a building in Doha a few days ago," in the context of attempts to "understand what happened and how the operation failed," despite it being preceded by "accurate intelligence information," according to Israeli reports.

"Channel 12" reports this morning, Saturday, citing "security sources" stating that "the definitive answer regarding the fate of the targeted leaders will become clear in a few days."

The report also indicates, quoting Israeli intelligence agencies, that the "targeted building has been monitored since 2014, for more than ten years," and that "according to a security analysis," the report continues, "the leaders' survival outside the targeted room or on the edges of the building may have allowed them to escape."

In this context, the report points out that "since the moment of the attack, any communication with the targeted individuals was cut off, either due to their injury or a desire for confidentiality, or fear of new targeting," as described.

It also notes that "unlike previous attempts, such as the targeting of Mohammad Deif in Gaza, Israeli security estimates indicate that if the leaders are alive, they will be forced to appear publicly in a few days, as the operation took place in an independent state like Qatar, and not in the Gaza Strip where leadership can be hidden for a long time."

Furthermore, the report states, citing its sources, that "the military plan in Doha took into account special constraints, as it was not possible to use heavy bombs as in Gaza for fear of injuring Qataris or foreigners. Thus, it was decided to resort to more precise munitions, despite knowing that the chances of the operation's success might be limited."

Additionally, the report cites "an Israeli security source" saying that the operation "even if it seemed to not achieve its goal, made enough of an impact. In Hamas, voices are rising considering Israel as an 'unpredictable enemy,' which terrifies them. What happened in Qatar might make them more fearful of what could happen in Gaza."
