Sheikh Welcomes UN General Assembly's Adoption of Resolution Supporting New York Declaration on Two-State Solution
SadaNews - The Deputy Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, Mr. Hussein Sheikh, welcomed the UN General Assembly's adoption of the resolution supporting the New York Declaration on implementing the two-state solution and establishing an independent Palestinian state.
Sheikh noted that this decision reflects the international will in support of our people's rights and represents an important step towards ending the occupation and realizing our independent state along the lines of 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Sheikh also affirmed that the increasing international recognitions of the State of Palestine represent a fundamental pillar for affirming our people’s right to self-determination and ensuring the protection of the two-state solution, which enhances regional and international security and stability.
