Two Injured in Stabbing Incident at Hotel in Jerusalem Area; Palestinian from Shufat Arrested
SadaNews - Two individuals were injured in a stabbing incident at the "Tzova" kibbutz, located on the lands of the displaced village of Sobah in the Jerusalem area, on Friday. The assailant, a 28-year-old man from Shufat, east of the occupied city, has been arrested.
According to a medical team that arrived at the stabbing site, two people were injured, with one of the victims in critical condition, while the other sustained moderate injuries.
The stabbing is being investigated as an attack, and a Palestinian from Shufat has been arrested on suspicion of being the perpetrator.
The Israeli army radio indicated that he is one of the workers at the hotel where the stabbing took place.
The police stated in a release that they are "investigating a stabbing at the hotel in the 'Tzova' kibbutz."
They added that a person "from the Shufat refugee camp recently stabbed hotel guests at the 'Tzova' kibbutz, injuring them."
It was reported that "a police officer from the Negev, who was a guest at the hotel, noticed what was happening, tried to communicate with him, subdued him, and arrested him," pointing out that a large police force is present at the site.
Israeli Channel 12 quoted eyewitnesses saying that the assailant "pulled a knife from the kitchen and began stabbing those seated in the dining room. Security guards at the scene quickly subdued him without using firearms and restrained his hands. He is currently undergoing interrogation."
