
Public Prosecution Detains "Samir Halila" for 15 Days Pending Investigation
Follow SadaNews: The Palestinian Public Prosecution has decided to detain businessman Samir Halila for 15 days pending investigation in the case of "inciting sectarian strife."
The Palestinian security forces arrested businessman Samir Halila yesterday evening, Wednesday, from a café in Ramallah, according to security sources reported to SadaNews.

Halila's name has resurfaced in Arab and international media recently after it was mentioned in a report indicating that the United States is nominating him to be the governor of the Gaza Strip.
While Halila was trying in media interviews to confirm that he works in coordination with the Palestinian Authority, the latter denied that in several previous statements.
