Israeli Occupation Arrests Syrians During Raid in Abdeen Village West of Daraa
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces arrested two civilians early Thursday morning during a nighttime raid in the village of Abdeen in the Yarmouk Basin area, west of Daraa province, southern Syria, according to local reports.
The sources indicated that the detainees are Mohammad Ghazi Al-Masri and his son Qassem Al-Masri, who work in livestock trading, noting that the raid targeted several homes in the village.
According to the data, the raiding force made an incursion at the entrance of the village and took control of the road leading to the town of Al-Shajara, cutting it off before arresting the civilians and leaving the area.
This operation is part of a series of repeated incursions carried out by the occupation forces in the villages of western Daraa, which involve arrests and raids targeting civilians, within the context of ongoing violations.
Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir announced on Wednesday evening that the army "thwarted capabilities that threaten its operational freedom" in Syria, referring to the attack carried out on Monday night in Homs and Latakia.
This is the first public acknowledgment from the Israeli side regarding the recent attack on Syria. Zamir made the statement during a speech at the graduation ceremony of the 151st batch of naval officers.
