Yemen: 35 Killed and 131 Injured in Israeli Airstrikes on Sana'a and Al-Jawf

SadaNews - The Ministry of Health and Environment in Yemen announced on Wednesday evening that the death toll from the Israeli airstrikes on the capital Sana'a and Al-Jawf governorate has risen to 166, in a preliminary toll. The Ministry of Health confirmed that 35 people were killed and 131 others injured as a result of the shelling. It noted that the number of fatalities from the airstrikes on the capital Sana'a reached 28, alongside 113 injured, while seven Yemenis were killed and 18 others injured in the Al-Hazm district in Al-Jawf. The statement pointed out that the civil defense teams continue to work on lifting the rubble and searching for victims in the neighborhoods and sites targeted by the Israeli air force. Earlier, the Israeli army announced that its air force had carried out airstrikes on Wednesday against military targets of the Houthis in the regions of Sana'a and Al-Jawf. It reported in a statement that the air force targeted camps along with the headquarters of the Houthi military media, in addition to a fuel storage site used for military activities. The army mentioned that these airstrikes came in light of the repeated attacks carried out by the Houthis against Israel, which included launching drones and ground-to-ground missiles. The Israeli army stated that the Houthi military media is responsible for disseminating inciting and propaganda messages in the media, including speeches by Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi and statements by their spokesman Yahya Saree. It clarified that during the war, this department oversaw propaganda and psychological terrorism efforts. It emphasized that the Israeli army will combat the repeated Houthi assaults against Israel and remains determined to continue working forcefully in response to any threat, regardless of the distance. For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that the army will continue to strike Yemen, adding: "Whoever strikes us and attacks us, we will reach them."
