SadaNews - The White House announced today (Tuesday) that the U.S. Department of Defense (the Pentagon) informed the White House that Israel is attacking "Hamas" in Qatar today.

The White House stated that the presidential envoy, Steve Witkoff, was asked to inform the Qataris about the imminent attack.

It was noted that the attack does not serve the interests of either Israel or America.

It stated that unilateral bombing of the State of Qatar does not contribute to the interests of either Israel or the United States, indicating that President Trump viewed the unfortunate incident as a potential opportunity for achieving peace.

It added: President Trump spoke with the Emir of Qatar and the Prime Minister and confirmed his desire for peace in the Middle East.

It affirmed that President Trump continues to strive, alongside our allies, to achieve peace in the Middle East.

The White House mentioned that Trump called the Qatari Emir and promised him that attacks like this would not be repeated in the future, expressing concern about the location of the strikes.

Meanwhile, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that reports concerning prior notification to the State of Qatar about the attack are baseless.

The ministry added: The call from the American official came during the sound of the explosions.
