Qatari Prime Minister Receives Deputy President of the State of Palestine
SadaNews - Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, today received Hussein Sheikh, the Deputy President of the brotherly State of Palestine, who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the cooperative relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, as well as discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to several topics of mutual interest.
The Qatari Foreign Minister emphasized during the meeting the urgent need for regional and international efforts to ensure the immediate and sustainable flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip without obstacles, to address the catastrophic conditions faced by civilians in the sector.
He also reiterated Qatar's firm and constant position supporting the Palestinian cause and the resilience of the Palestinian people, based on the decisions of international legitimacy and the two-state solution, which ensures the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
