Channel 12: Trump Proposed a Comprehensive Deal to Hamas
SadaNews - During the past few days, U.S. President Donald Trump presented a proposal for a comprehensive deal to Hamas, which includes substantial changes compared to previous proposals.
Channel 12 reported that under the proposal, on the first day of the deal, all 48 hostages and remains would be released in exchange for the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners with long sentences and thousands of detainees.
It added that Israel would halt Operation "Gideon B'" to occupy the city of Gaza, and a negotiation track would immediately open under Trump's personal management to end the war. Throughout the negotiation period, hostilities would not resume.
It clarified that Hamas is expected to rely on Trump’s promises to end the war, based on the assumption that as long as the hostages are at home, Israel will find it difficult to gain domestic and international legitimacy to continue fighting.
It said, "Since Hamas has not yet responded to the proposal, it can be concluded that there is a disagreement within the organization on how to act. What concerns Hamas the most is the possibility of military resolution if the city of Gaza is occupied."
It added, "As for Israel, it has been informed of the details, and it can be assumed that the formula is generally acceptable to it."
