War on Gaza: Starvation Deaths Rise to 370, Including 131 Children

SadaNews - The Israeli occupation army continues its war on the Gaza Strip for the 699th consecutive day, amidst what UN and human rights officials describe as a genocide coupled with a blockade and starvation targeting civilians, displaced persons, and even humanitarian aid seekers; in light of the escalating attacks by the occupation, dozens were martyred in a series of airstrikes and shelling that targeted areas in the Gaza Strip since dawn today, Thursday.

The ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip has resulted in 64,231 martyrs and 161,583 injuries since October 7, 2023, according to the daily statistical report issued by the Ministry of Health in Gaza today. The Ministry indicated that several victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as rescue and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.

The Health Ministry in the Strip stated that the total number of martyrs and injuries since the resumption of the war on the Strip on March 18, 2025, until today reached 11,699 martyrs and 49,542 injuries. It clarified that 401 martyrs were recently added to the cumulative statistics after their data were completed and approved by the specialized judicial committee on notifications and missing persons.

In the city of Gaza, the number of martyrs is increasing due to hunger and malnutrition. The Director of the UN Human Rights Office in Palestine confirmed that famine "is choking the Strip" and that its effects have extended to other areas. This comes as attacks intensified in Sheikh Radwan, the Tunnel Street, and the northeastern areas, where planes carried out intense airstrikes and bombings were executed with drones, leading to widespread displacement towards the west of the city.

Israeli artillery also shelled the Shufatawi and Abu Iskander areas in northern Gaza, and a bomb-laden robot was detonated among homes in eastern Sheikh Radwan. In the west of the city, shells targeted tents of displaced persons near Al-Quds Hospital in Tal al-Hawa, coinciding with airstrikes on the Japanese neighborhood in Khan Younis and intense gunfire from tanks in the northwest of Gaza. Additionally, drones carried out an airstrike west of Nuseirat and another on a camp west of Khan Younis.

The Ministry of Health announced dozens of martyrs and the wounded, most of whom are children, due to the successive airstrikes on the tents of displaced persons in the neighborhoods of Al-Nasr and Tal al-Hawa early Thursday. Meanwhile, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced the launch of "Moses' Stick" operations after the occupation army declared the start of "Gideon's Chariots 2" to occupy all of Gaza.

Hamas renewed, in a statement issued yesterday evening, Wednesday, its readiness to engage in a comprehensive deal whereby all Israeli prisoners held by the resistance are released in exchange for an agreed number of Palestinian prisoners held by the occupation, in an agreement that ends the war on Gaza, includes the withdrawal of all occupation forces, the opening of crossings to supply the needs of the Strip, and the start of the reconstruction process; a matter that was rejected by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who set five conditions for ending the war.
