Israel Prepares for the Potential Collapse of the Palestinian Authority

According to Channel 14, as translated by SadaNews, Katz instructed the preparation of a plan regarding the possibility of a turn of events in the West Bank.

Katz warned in an internal discussion session that the Palestinian Authority could turn against the Israelis and direct its weapons towards them, saying: "We will not allow a new uprising, and we must be prepared with a plan for rapid resolution in the West Bank."

Meanwhile, the security correspondent for Channel 15 reported that the Shin Bet will raise to the political level an assessment of the situation confirming that the Palestinian Authority could collapse at any moment due to the economic situation.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated in an interview with Channel 12 that he is moving forward with a plan to impose sovereignty over the West Bank, similar to what is currently happening in the Gaza Strip.

He indicated that a proposal will be presented to Hamas either to accept surrender or that parts of Gaza will be annexed to Israel.
