Association of Scholars: Israel Commits Genocide in Gaza
SadaNews - The presidency of the largest association of scholars specializing in genocide research worldwide announced on Monday that it has approved a decision stipulating that the legal criteria for proving that Israel has committed genocide in Gaza have been met.
86% of the voters among the 500 members of the International Association of Genocide Scholars supported the decision, which states that Israel's policies and actions in Gaza meet the legal definition of genocide as outlined in Article II of the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide of 1948.
The association has issued nine decisions since its establishment in 1994 recognizing historical or ongoing events as genocide.
