Iran: 13 Militants Killed and Others Arrested in Security Operations in Sistan and Baluchestan
SadaNews - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced - today, Wednesday - the killing of 13 members of groups it described as "terrorist" and the arrest of several others during three joint operations carried out by its forces in the cities of Iranshahr, Khash, and Saravan in the Sistan and Baluchestan province in southeastern Iran.
The public relations office of the "Quds Headquarters" of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that the operations took place this morning with the participation of intelligence and internal security forces, resulting in the "elimination of a group of terrorists and the arrest of others".
In this context, Brigadier General Qassem Rezai, Deputy Commander of the Iranian Internal Security Forces, confirmed that the border guard forces "enjoy complete intelligence oversight and permanent operational readiness," stressing that "no operation can be completed without accurate and effective information".
Rezai added that the Iranian border guards "will remain steadfast in defending the principles of the Islamic Revolution and protecting the sacred borders of the country, and will not tolerate any security breach," considering that the continuous training of the forces is a fundamental pillar in enhancing their capabilities and executing their missions.
