Lebanese Health: A Martyr in an Israeli Airstrike on Deir Siryan
SadaNews - A Lebanese citizen was martyred today, Thursday, as a result of an Israeli bombardment that targeted a motorcycle in the town of Deir Siryan, Marjeyoun district, southern Lebanon, according to the National News Agency.
This attack is part of a series of continuous airstrikes and bombardments carried out by Israel on various areas of Lebanon, particularly the south, where Wednesday’s airstrikes resulted in injuries to 7 citizens, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, following the targeting of the town of Al-Hosh and the area of Tyre.
The Israeli army clarified that the attacks targeted infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah, arms depots, and rocket launch pads in southern Lebanon.
Israel continues to launch near-daily attacks on Lebanese territory, despite a ceasefire agreement that began on November 27, 2024, which Tel Aviv has breached over 3,000 times, resulting in 281 martyrs and 599 injuries, according to official data.
In defiance of the agreement, the Israeli army executed a partial withdrawal from southern Lebanon while still occupying 5 hills that it seized during the last war, which began with a wide-ranging attack on September 23, 2024, following an aggression that started on October 8, 2023, which resulted in more than 4,000 martyrs and nearly 17,000 injuries.
