Israel Officially Approves Settlement Plan E1 East of Occupied Jerusalem
SadaNews - Haaretz reported that the Israeli government has definitively approved the settlement plan in the "E1" area, which will divide the West Bank.
It quoted Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich as saying, "The Palestinian state is erased through actions, not slogans," as he expressed.
For its part, the German Foreign Ministry announced its firm rejection of the Israeli "E1" settlement project, indicating that it considers the settlements a violation of international law.
Berlin called on the Israeli government to immediately halt settlement operations.
