Jordan: Netanyahu's incursion into the West Bank is a blatant violation of international law and a challenge to the international will supporting the two-state solution

SadaNews - ‏The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli Prime Minister's incursion into the occupied West Bank and his statements regarding the prevention of establishing a Palestinian state from one of the illegal colonial settlements built on occupied Palestinian land, considering it a blatant violation of international law and a challenge to the international will supporting the two-state solution.

‏The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Dr. Sufian Al-Qudah, emphasized that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian land, affirming the Kingdom's absolute rejection and strong condemnation of the continuous provocative practices and statements of Israeli government extremists that entrench illegal occupation and colonial settlement, which violate international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions, especially resolution 2334, which condemns all Israeli actions aimed at changing the demographic composition and character of the occupied Palestinian land since 1967, including East Jerusalem, in addition to the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice that confirmed the necessity of ending the Israeli occupation and the nullity of the annexation of the occupied Palestinian territories.

‏Ambassador Al-Qudah warned of the continuation of the illegitimate unilateral actions of the Israeli government and the statements and measures aimed at forcibly imposing new realities, continuing to implement its expansionist plans in the occupied West Bank and its escalatory actions in the region, which encourage the continuation of cycles of violence and conflict, a situation that requires a clear international position condemning them and warning of their dire consequences on the region's security and stability.

‏Ambassador Al-Qudah renewed the call for the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, obliging Israel and its extremist government to stop its aggression against Gaza, its dangerous escalation in the occupied West Bank, and its officials' incendiary statements, as well as to provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people and meet their legitimate rights to establish their independent sovereign state on their national soil, putting an end to the crimes against them and holding accountable those who commit them.
