Israel Sends Aid to South Sudan Amid Reports of Displacement of Gaza Residents
SadaNews: The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced today, Monday, that it is sending urgent aid to South Sudan, including essential medical equipment, water purification systems, hygiene supplies to curb the spread of cholera, and food packages directed at the most affected groups.
This action comes in light of the cholera epidemic and the deteriorating living conditions in South Sudan, where residents are facing severe shortages of health and food resources. According to an official statement from the ministry, the aid will be provided through the Israeli National Aid Agency "Mashav", under the direct direction of Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar.
This announcement coincided with media reports stating that Israel is in talks with the South Sudanese government regarding the possibility of receiving Palestinian refugees from the Gaza Strip, as part of what Israeli authorities describe as "voluntary migration".
