Death Toll from Starvation in Gaza Rises to 251, Including 108 Children
SadaNews - The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Saturday that the death toll due to the starvation policy enforced by Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip has reached 251, including 108 children.
It stated that "Gaza hospitals recorded 11 deaths, including one child due to malnutrition, within 24 hours."
Since March 2, Israel has closed all crossings leading to Gaza, preventing any humanitarian aid from entering, which has plunged the region into a state of famine despite relief trucks being lined up at its borders, allowing only limited quantities that do not meet the basic needs of the starving Palestinians.
Recently, the United Nations World Food Programme warned that "a third of Gaza's population (out of approximately 2.4 million Palestinians) has not eaten for several days."
