Naim Qassem: Either Lebanon Remains and We Stay Together, or It's Peace for the World

SadaNews - The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, stated that "the resistance will not surrender its weapons, and the aggression is ongoing while the occupation remains," and criticized the Lebanese government for being "servants of the Israeli project" due to its decision to disarm Hezbollah.

Qassem considered that the Lebanese government made a "very dangerous" decision that violates the national pact and undermines national security.

Speaking in Baalbek, Qassem added that the government's decision strips Lebanon of defensive weapons during the aggression and facilitates the killing of the resistance.

He stated: "The sinful decision is the government's acceptance to facilitate the killing of their partners in the homeland so they can enjoy a life they were promised."

He held the Lebanese government fully responsible for any "sedition" that may occur and any internal explosion.

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah said in the context of his remarks: "Either Lebanon remains and we stay together, or it's peace for the world."

Naim Qassem warned the Lebanese government against confronting the group, saying that "there is no life for Lebanon if you stand on the other side, trying to confront us and eliminate us; Lebanon can only be built with all its components."

Qassem indicated that Hezbollah - supported by Iran - and its Shiite ally, the Amal Movement, have decided to postpone any street protests against a U.S.-backed plan to disarm it because they believe there is room for dialogue with the Lebanese government. However, he added that any future protests may reach the U.S. embassy in Beirut.
