The Palestinian Presidency Condemns Netanyahu's Statements and Considers Them a Violation of International Legitimacy Decisions
SadaNews - The Palestinian presidency condemned the statements of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the so-called "Greater Israel" vision, considering these statements to be in violation of international legitimacy resolutions and international law, and an infringement on the sovereignty of states and the security and stability of the region.
The presidency stated that these remarks from the head of the occupying government are rejected and condemned, and constitute a provocation and a dangerous escalation that affects the security and stability of the region, due to this colonial expansionist policy that governs the occupying state, and its refusal to respect the sovereignty of states and the international agreements regulating relations among these states.
The presidency emphasized that the State of Palestine is committed to what international legitimacy and international law have established regarding the establishment of an independent State of Palestine with its capital in East Jerusalem along the 1967 borders, and strongly rejects these statements that disregard the legitimate rights of our Palestinian people, which have been affirmed by the international community in the New York Declaration, and the declaration of many European countries and important countries of the world expressing their willingness to recognize the State of Palestine.
While the Palestinian people cling to their land, they do not accept any infringement on the land or sovereignty of any Arab state, just as we reject the displacement and genocide that our Palestinian people are subjected to.
