Israeli Delegation to Soon Head to Doha Amid Attempts to Prevent the Occupation Plan of Gaza City
SadaNews - Axios reported this Tuesday evening that Israel is considering sending a high-level delegation to Doha later this week to meet with Qatari officials, as part of efforts to resume negotiations regarding a prisoner exchange deal and a ceasefire in Gaza.
The site cited sources familiar with the matter, stating that the talks would primarily focus on efforts to reach a comprehensive deal that would end the war and lead to the release of all Israeli prisoners.
Efforts are underway to arrange the arrival of the Israeli delegation coinciding with the presence of Hamas leadership in Egypt for similar discussions.
The site noted that Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey are attempting to take advantage of the remaining time to pressure towards reaching a deal before Israel initiates its new military operation in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Channel 13 reported, as translated by SadaNews, that the operational plan related to controlling Gaza City will be presented tomorrow to the Israeli Chief of Staff, based on a general principle that prevents harm to the captives.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he would oppose any partial deal and that it is time to achieve the war objectives and move towards a comprehensive agreement.
