The President Conducts a Telephone Call with the Saudi Crown Prince to Discuss Latest Developments

SadaNews - President Mahmoud Abbas conducted a telephone call today, Monday, with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the call, they discussed the latest developments in Palestine, amidst ongoing challenges facing the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people. The President expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's consistent and supportive positions regarding the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He valued the Kingdom's pivotal role in mobilizing international support for the recognition of the State of Palestine and its representation along the 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital, along with leading Arab and Islamic efforts in two emergency summits, as well as the significant efforts made by the Arab Islamic Committee, headed by Saudi Arabia, in this context, and the formation of the international coalition and conducting its meetings leading up to the international peace conference in New York. The call also addressed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming international peace conference at the summit level in New York on September 22, as well as efforts to garner further recognition of the State of Palestine, which has included recognitions from France, Britain, Canada, Australia, and Singapore, with other countries expressing their desire to recognize it. This enhances the chances for achieving just and comprehensive peace in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab peace initiative. It was also confirmed that coordination between the two sides would continue, serving issues of mutual concern and contributing to enhancing Arab and international solidarity with the Palestinian people.
