5 new deaths due to starvation and the toll of malnutrition rises to 217 martyrs in Gaza

SadaNews - The Israeli occupation continues to commit massacres against the displaced in the Gaza Strip, alongside a starvation war that suffocates Gazans with empty stomachs and emaciated bodies.

On the 674th day of the genocide against the Palestinian people, hospitals in the sector recorded the arrival of the bodies of 47 martyrs within 24 hours, including 40 aid seekers.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that hospitals in the Gaza Strip recorded five new deaths due to starvation and malnutrition in the past 24 hours, among them two children.

Thus, the total number of victims who have lost their lives due to these difficult conditions rises to 217 martyrs, including 100 children, amid the ongoing siege and sharp deterioration in humanitarian conditions in the sector.

The governmental office in Gaza announced that the toll of victims from the erroneous airdrop of aid has increased to 23 martyrs and 124 injured since October 7, 2023.

This comes at a time when international rejection is escalating against the declaration of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of his intention to occupy the city of Gaza and displace its residents to camps, amid warnings of a worsening humanitarian catastrophe that includes killing and starvation in a besieged sector facing an unprecedented war for nearly two years.

Diplomatically, the permanent representative of Palestine to the Arab League, Mohannad Alaklok, revealed that an emergency meeting will be held tomorrow, Sunday, at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo to discuss mechanisms for action against Israel's plan to fully occupy the sector.

On the negotiation front, Hebrew media reported that Washington and mediators are pressuring both Hamas and Israel to return to the negotiation table.
