British Consulate in Jerusalem: Colonizers' Violence Cannot Continue Without Accountability
SadaNews - The United Kingdom stated that the violence of the colonizers cannot continue without accountability, calling for an end to the policy of impunity.
This came in a post by the British Consulate General in Jerusalem on the "X" platform today, Tuesday, expressing its deep sorrow over the martyrdom of human rights activist Awda Hathalin in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
The consulate stated: "We are deeply saddened by the killing of human rights activist Awda Hathalin. We demand the immediate and unconditional return of his body so that his family can bid farewell and bury him with dignity in the Um al-Khair community, south of Hebron. The violence of the colonizers cannot continue without accountability. The policy of impunity must end."
Hathalin, 31 years old, was martyred by colonizer Yanoun Levy on July 28, during an attempt by the residents of Um al-Khair to confront a bulldozer that entered their agricultural lands accompanied by colonizers.
The occupation court in Jerusalem released the colonizer Levy and placed him under house arrest, despite documentation of the murder with video recordings, and despite Levy previously being included on sanction lists in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom for his involvement in colonizer terrorism.
Meanwhile, the occupation authorities continue to withhold the body of martyr Hathalin in their refrigerators, noting that the number of documented martyr bodies being held, whether in numbered graves or in the refrigerators of the occupation, currently stands at 727 martyrs.
