Human Rights Watch: Israel's Killing of Citizens Seeking Food is a War Crime
SadaNews - The organization "Human Rights Watch" stated that the killing of citizens seeking food by the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip is a war crime.
It added in a report released today, Friday, that the occupation army has established a flawed military system for distributing aid in Gaza, which has turned into a bloodbath.
The organization affirmed that the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is a direct result of Israel's use of the starvation of civilians as a weapon of war. It emphasized that its continued denial of aid to Palestinians in Gaza amounts to a crime against humanity and genocide.
It called on the international community to pressure the occupation authorities to immediately stop using deadly force in their dealings with civilians at aid distribution centers, in addition to lifting restrictions on the entry of aid and pressuring the United States and Israel to suspend the flawed distribution system.
The organization demanded that the United Nations and other humanitarian organizations be allowed to resume the wide-scale and unrestricted distribution of aid throughout Gaza, as they have proven their ability to feed the population in accordance with humanitarian standards and the requirements of the binding orders issued by the "International Court of Justice" in the genocide case brought by South Africa against Israel.
