Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital: The Situation Inside the Hospital Is Catastrophic by All Measures
SadaNews - The administration of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, stated that the situation inside the hospital is catastrophic by all measures, facing extremely dangerous health and humanitarian conditions due to the rising number of injured and urgent medical needs.
It pointed out that the number of injured reaches hundreds as a result of the ongoing aggression, and the emergency department is unable to accommodate the increasing number of serious injuries. Additionally, the inpatient units are completely full and cannot receive new wounded, while all departments are overcrowded with patients exceeding the hospital's operational capacity.
It indicated that work has stopped inside the operating rooms due to the lack of inpatient beds, as several patients remain in the operating rooms due to the absence of places to transfer them. At the same time, the hospital is experiencing a severe shortage of essential medicines and medical supplies.
The hospital administration appealed to official, humanitarian, and international bodies for urgent intervention to provide the necessary support and ensure the continuity of health services and saving lives.
