SadaNews Translation - The Hebrew channel Reshet Kan revealed on Tuesday evening a verbal altercation that erupted during a meeting of the Israeli security cabinet, "the Cabinet," on Monday evening, between Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, Eyal Zamir, amid a discussion on the continuation of the military operation in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Hebrew channel, as translated by SadaNews, Smotrich attacked Zamir, saying, "I presented a plan to defeat Hamas within three months, and you did not adhere to it. I apologize to the former Chief of Staff, Halifi, and I miss him deeply."

Smotrich surprised the attendees with his words directed at Zamir.

While Channel 12 reported that Smotrich said he missed Halifi after Zamir mentioned that controlling the Gaza Strip would take between two to five years.

Smotrich was one of the instigators against Halifi, demanding his dismissal and clashing with him multiple times.
