Trump: Israel Must Make a Decision Regarding Gaza
SadaNews - US President Donald Trump made statements this evening, Sunday, concerning the developments in the Gaza Strip, assigning responsibility to Israel for making a decision regarding the fate of its war on Gaza.
Trump stated that "the situation in Gaza is bad," adding, "I don't know what will happen regarding the strip," amid the uncertainty surrounding the near future of the escalating humanitarian crisis there resulting from the Israeli blockade of the area.
He noted that the United States has provided $60 million to assist the residents of Gaza "without receiving any thanks for it," as he put it, urging the European Union to contribute to providing aid as well.
Donald Trump expressed that Israel must "make a decision regarding the retrieval of the captives in Gaza," adding that the United States intends to provide additional aid to Gaza.
While Trump claimed, "I don't think there is a famine in Gaza, the situation is related to malnutrition," these comments come amid worsening conditions in Gaza and increasing international calls to intensify relief efforts and push for urgent political solutions.
