Jordanian Armed Forces Conduct Three Aerial Drops in the Gaza Strip, One in Cooperation with the UAE

SadaNews - The Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army – carried out today, Sunday, 3 aerial drops in the Gaza Strip, delivering humanitarian and food assistance, one of which was in cooperation with the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

The drops were conducted using C130 aircraft belonging to the Royal Jordanian Air Force and the Emirates Air Force, loaded with 25 tons of food and humanitarian aid.

These drops, which targeted several locations in the sector, continue the ongoing Jordanian efforts in cooperation with sisterly and friendly countries and partners from humanitarian organizations to support the Palestinian brothers, in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, aiming to alleviate humanitarian suffering and assist families in the Gaza Strip in overcoming the challenges imposed by the war on the sector.

The aerial drops represent an additional means through which Jordan is utilizing various methods to quickly deliver specialized assistance to hard-to-reach areas by land, and these drops will not be a substitute for land-based aid for the people in the Gaza Strip, as land convoys are the primary and more effective means, and should be prioritized for delivering aid there.

The Jordanian Armed Forces are also continuing to organize land convoys in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization and the World Food Programme, with the total number of land convoys reaching 181, comprising 7932 trucks since the onset of the war there.

The number of aerial drops conducted by the Jordanian Armed Forces since the war on Gaza began has reached 127 Jordanian aerial drops, in addition to 267 aerial drops in cooperation with sisterly and friendly countries.

In the same context, Jordanian field hospitals in northern and southern Gaza continue to provide their medical, treatment, and humanitarian services, along with the ongoing operation of the Jordanian field hospital in Nablus, and the Jordanian surgical stations in Jenin and Ramallah, which receive patients through various clinics and specialties, where Jordanian field hospitals in Gaza have provided medical services to more than (120,588) cases at the field hospital in the northern sector, and (362,389) cases at the field hospital in the southern sector, in addition to performing more than (36,000) major and minor surgical operations, and fitting 532 upper and lower prosthetic limbs as part of the "Restoring Hope" initiative.

Furthermore, 112 children among the injured and ill have been evacuated, accompanied by 241 escorts from their families for treatment in Jordan, as part of the medical corridor initiative launched by His Majesty King Abdullah II, aimed at treating 2,000 sick children from Gaza.
