
"Hanzala" detainees call on their countries to act for their release
SadaNews - Detainees on the ship "Hanzala", which was carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza and was intercepted by Israel in international waters, have called for their countries to pressure for their release.
This came in pre-recorded video messages from activists on board "Hanzala", published by the "Freedom Flotilla Coalition" through social media platforms, following the occupation's takeover of the vessel early Saturday.
In the video messages, the activists state their nationalities and say, "If you are watching this video, you should know that I was intercepted at sea and kidnapped by Israeli forces that are committing genocide against the Palestinians."
Through these messages, the activists urged their friends, families, and the world to pressure their governments to work for their release after being detained by Israeli forces.
On Saturday, Israeli naval forces stormed the ship "Hanzala", which was carrying international supporters while heading to the Gaza Strip, in an attempt to break the siege imposed on the Palestinian territory.
The occupation forces took full control of the ship. The fate of the crew has not yet been known following the interruption of live broadcast after the Israeli incursion, amid reports of their being taken to Ashdod port.
