Widespread Settler Attack on Tawaneh: Home Invasions, Livestock Theft, and Injuries Among Residents

SadaNews - The Beidder Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights reported that dozens of settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, launched a wide-ranging attack this morning on the village of Tawaneh in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron. They stormed the homes of residents, searched the surrounding areas, and completely closed the entrances to the village, which the organization described as "a systematic assault targeting the lives and security of the residents."

The organization explained that the settlers stole several livestock owned by the family of the late Fadhel Rabai, which they considered an attack on the property of citizens and an attempt to destroy their sources of livelihood. It noted that the occupation forces provided full protection to the settlers.

The organization added that the settler attack resulted in injuries to the head of the Tawaneh village council, Mohamed Rabai, who sustained bruises and contusions after being beaten. He was transported by Red Crescent teams to the hospital for treatment, while a woman and a child from the same family suffered minor injuries due to the assault and were treated on-site.

The Beidder Organization noted that these assaults are part of an escalating policy aimed at intimidating the Palestinian population in Masafer Yatta, calling on the international community and human rights organizations to fulfill their responsibilities towards protecting civilians and holding the settlers accountable for these crimes.
