Israeli Army and Shin Bet Arrest the Perpetrator of the Bus Bombing in Bat Yam and Holon
SadaNews Translation: The Israeli army, the Shin Bet security agency, and border police announced the arrest of the "terrorist" who carried out the bombing attack with explosive devices in the cities of Bat Yam and Holon.
According to the statement, earlier today, the Israeli army, the Shin Bet security agency, and border police arrested the "terrorist" Abdul Karim Sanober, the perpetrator of the bombing attack on three parked buses in the cities of Bat Yam and Holon, on February 20, 2025.
Security forces captured Sanober after a months-long manhunt according to SadaNews translation. An explosion that occurred yesterday, seemingly caused by the perpetrator's contact with additional explosive devices in his possession, led the forces to him after he was injured and fled from the apartment.
During the night, the Israeli army, the Shin Bet security agency, and border police launched an extensive manhunt operation lasting about 19 hours based on precise intelligence from the Shin Bet security agency. As part of the search and combing operations conducted near the building where the explosion occurred, the forces found several ready-to-use explosive devices in the terrorist's possession and destroyed them.
This arrest represents an important operational and intelligence achievement, following a long period of intense intelligence activity by the Israeli army and the Shin Bet security agency, which included a series of field operations that were prepared and executed, leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.
