The Presidency: The Knesset's Call for Annexation and Imposition of Sovereignty is Rejected; The Path to Achieving Peace and Security is Through Establishing an Independent Palestinian State
SadaNews - The official spokesperson for the Palestinian presidency, Nabil Abu Rdeina, stated that the Knesset's call to the occupying government to impose sovereignty and annex the occupied Palestinian territories is rejected and condemned. This call contradicts all international legitimacy and international law, which affirm that the only path to achieving peace and stability is through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and considering all Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territories as illegal.
Abu Rdeina confirmed today, Wednesday, that such dangerous calls for the annexation of occupied Palestinian lands pose a challenge to the will of the international community to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution in accordance with international resolutions to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, along the borders of 1967.
The official spokesperson for the presidency emphasized that the only path to achieving peace and security is through recognizing the rights of the Palestinian people to freedom, independence, and self-determination over all their national territory.
