Katz: We Are Approaching Achieving War Objectives and We Must Resolve Battles in Gaza and Yemen

SadaNews - Israeli Minister of Security, Israel Katz, said on Tuesday evening that Israel is "at the closest point to achieving the war objectives," emphasizing the necessity of a "complete resolution" in the Gaza Strip and Yemen. He believed that this is in line with the offensive policy that Israel has implemented in Iran, Lebanon, and Syria, according to a statement that followed a situational assessment meeting he held with security leaders. The statement noted that Katz held a "multi-front assessment session" with the participation of Chief of Staff of the Army Eyal Zamir, his deputy, heads of operations, intelligence, and planning divisions, and leaders from the Mossad and Shin Bet, addressing the "updated security situation in the Middle East." Katz added that there is a possibility of renewed confrontation with Iran, stressing the importance of "maintaining air superiority and the achievements" accomplished in the last war, alongside "formulating an effective enforcement plan that ensures the non-recovery of Iran's nuclear and missile projects." He pointed out that "the Israeli presence in strategic points and security areas across various fronts, including Syria and Lebanon, is a security necessity to protect Israeli settlements, and the army must be prepared for that." Regarding the West Bank, Gallant stated that "the offensive policy within the refugee camps in the northern West Bank has proven successful," directing the army to be prepared "to carry out extensive operations in other camps if necessary, in case terrorist hotspots develop."
