Report: The Occupation Army Restructures Its Military Presence in Gaza, the West Bank, and the Northern Borders

SadaNews Translation: The Chief of Staff of the Israeli Occupation Army, Eyal Zamir, has decided to implement a large-scale reduction plan for the number of reserve soldiers working in various combat sectors, such as Gaza, Lebanon, the West Bank, and others, by up to 30% in the coming months. This move aims to alleviate the heavy pressure on the reserve system, which is facing increasing depletion, according to Doron Kadosh, a reporter for Israeli Army Radio.

According to Kadosh's leaks published on the platform X and translated by SadaNews, in the Gaza Strip, a large number of currently serving reserve forces will be discharged in the coming weeks, with only one brigade to be called as a replacement, resulting in a significant reduction in the number of occupation forces present in the sector.

In the West Bank, which was recently under the control of reserve forces, reserve battalions will be replaced by regular forces, making the majority of the troops deployed there regular rather than reserve.

On the northern front, particularly along the Lebanese and Syrian borders, part of the reserves will also be replaced by regular forces, but at a slower pace than in Gaza and the West Bank.

The Israeli Army Radio correspondent explained that this shift comes as a result of the army exceeding the previously set reserve schedule for 2025, where unprecedented numbers of soldiers were called up, which led to the exhaustion of the brigades executing tasks that extended beyond 100 consecutive days, instead of the planned 70 days.

He noted that this decision is based on the assumption of "the absence of sudden events or significant escalation," such as a large-scale confrontation against Iran or another military operation in Gaza, which may require emergency redeployment of reserve forces.

It's worth mentioning that the Israeli Occupation Army has not issued any official comment on the reports regarding these structural transformations in the field forces system.
