Knesset Member Tzvi Sukkot Calls to Join the Israeli Army
SadaNews - Knesset member Tzvi Sukkot from the "Religious Zionism" party sent a personal message to the Chief of Staff of the Israeli army, expressing his desire to join the ranks of the occupying army during the upcoming Knesset recess, according to Israel Hayom.
This move comes despite Sukkot having his request to join the army rejected several times in the past due to what was described as "incompatibility".
It is noted that Sukkot is considered a controversial figure in the Israeli political landscape, having previously been associated with extreme settlement activities, and he has not served in the Israeli army before, which sparked widespread criticism when he was appointed as the head of a subcommittee in the Knesset concerned with West Bank affairs.
