France: We firmly oppose the resumption of the E1 settlement project
SadaNews - The French Foreign Ministry confirmed on Tuesday evening that France firmly opposes the resumption of the E1 settlement project announced by the Israeli High Planning Council and Civil Administration.
This project, which has been frozen since 2021, aims to construct more than 3,000 housing units in East Jerusalem.
It stated: This project must not see the light of day, as it contradicts international law and threatens the prospect of a two-state solution.
France reiterated its condemnation of settlements and all forms of tension and violence arising from them.
It renewed its affirmation that the two-state solution represents the only way to achieve lasting peace for both Israelis and Palestinians.
