Government Directives for Facilitation of Public Sector Employees Amid Continued Retention of Clearance Funds
SadaNews: The Palestinian Cabinet issued a circular today, Thursday, containing directives to relevant authorities, to communicate with the higher education sectors, telecommunications, local governance bodies, and the pension authority, to take necessary measures that consider the difficult economic conditions faced by public sector employees, amid delays in salary payments and the ongoing financial crisis, due to the continued Israeli occupation's retention of clearance funds.
According to the government communication center, the circular emphasized the necessity of ensuring the continuation and facilitation of public employees' access to essential services, including water, electricity, telecommunications, and internet, and ensuring their uninterrupted supply, along with higher education arrangements that allow for installment payments of their children's fees, and guaranteeing that no actions will be taken against them regarding financial obligations to the pension authority, until the financial crisis is resolved and salary payments are regularized.
The relevant authorities were requested to submit a report to the Cabinet outlining the measures taken and the results achieved, with the directive for these instructions to be implemented as soon as possible.
