In the Midst of Popular Rejection.. The American Security Coordinator for the West Bank Visits Nour Shams
SadaNews - The American Security Coordinator for the West Bank, Michael R. Fenner, visited today the Nour Shams camp in Tulkarem province, accompanied by an official Palestinian delegation that included the Minister of Interior and the Governor of Tulkarem, in a move that has sparked widespread rejection within the camp and its surrounding areas.
The visit comes amid escalating security tensions in the West Bank, especially following a series of recurring Israeli incursions into the camp.
The American and Palestinian delegation toured some of the affected areas within the camp and assessed the extent of the destruction caused by recent Israeli military operations.
Camp residents expressed their anger and rejection of the visit, considering it to be poorly timed and not a reflection of genuine solidarity with their suffering.
The head of the Popular Committee for the Services of Nour Shams camp stated in press remarks: "The occupation is practicing destruction in the camp, and we will not welcome the American envoy, and we demand the occupation to leave the camp and return the citizens to their homes."
