Occupation Claims to Have Seized Weapons in Beit Awa Near Hebron (Photos)
Translation by SadaNews - The spokesperson for the Israeli occupation police announced the seizure of large quantities of weapons and ammunition inside the town of Beit Awa south of Hebron, during a joint operation carried out by the so-called "Judea" police and forces from the occupation army.
According to the statement, the occupation forces stormed the town following a shooting incident related to a family dispute that recently occurred in Beit Awa. After search operations, a weapons cache suspected of being used during the incident was found.
During the search, the occupation forces confiscated two M16 rifles, several rounds of ammunition of different calibers, in addition to four magazines and parts of weapons.
The statement from the occupation police added that the main suspect fled the scene during the raid but later surrendered and was arrested.
The occupation authorities indicated that the investigation into the case is still ongoing at the Hebron police station.
