UN: Complete Collapse of the Food System in Gaza
SadaNews - The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs confirmed today, Monday, that the food system in Gaza is facing a complete collapse, and the worsening famine in Gaza and the obstruction of aid mean the loss of more lives.
According to the official UN website, the office indicated that families in Gaza are forced to risk their lives to obtain food, noting that rates of acute malnutrition have doubled among children, and infant formula is about to run out.
It is worth mentioning that UN Secretary-General António Guterres has expressed his deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, reiterating his call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire and the unconditional release of all hostages.
